Learn to surf in Ericeira, Portugal

The Surf school is based around you, our experience and professionalism, our surf instructors qualified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation and the best surf equipment available on the market. The school is open to people of all ages, skill levels and nationalities.

You will be taught by highly qualified and experienced surfers and surf teachers who are also lifeguards. That explains what you will be doing during the daytime. At night the surf camp comes alive. We have anywhere between 20 and 60 people staying at any time and every night there are beach parties, parties in the camp and everyone mixes in!

Surfing in Portugal

Surf has no age limit.

We have surf lessons for all ages, levels and nationalities. From people that never saw a surfboard or the sea, to those that already have previous experience of surfing but still don`t feel comfortable with it and those who have been surfing for years and want to improve their technique.

You are going to have the opportunity to learn with our instructors, who have years of experience surfing not just this area of Portugal but the whole world.

You will be using the best equipment on the market, in particular Rip Curl wetsuits and surfboards suitable for your surf level.

Learning to Surf

For those who have always wanted to try to learn surfing, Portugal has very consistent surf and great warm weather trough summer time. Our surf instructors will choose the best location according to your ability. With over 30 years surf experience amoung them all our guides have been traveling around the globe, Portugal and pretty much know each an every spot like there own local breaks. First off the instructor will advise you on how to handle the board, paddle out, catch waves and stand up. All of our instructors have Australian or European surfing standards Licenses. They are experts on choosing the best time and location to surf.

Flat day Fun

Ericeira is a great surfing spot. But in Ericeira you may also do many other activities related to the ocean. Fishing and diving are an example. Ericeira is prmarily a fishing village and fishing is one of the major economical revenues of the people of the area. We can organise a fishing trip or on a diving trip around the Ericeira coast. Just ask us when you get here to organise your fishing trips or day tours. Normally the diving is best when we have a bit of a flat spell (not too often) and is a great way to pass the time waiting for the waves to pick up again!!
