Devil’s Rock Surf School

The Surf Berbere surf school has helped hundreds of people learn to surf down at Devil’s Rock over the last couple of years. Our dedicated surf instructors provide a supportive environment for you and your family to master the fundamentals of surfing in preparation for your future surfing holidays.
The Devil’s Rock Surf School is located between Taghazout and Aourir, just 15km north of Agadir. The region of Taghazout is blessed with sensational waves and gloriously sunny weather year round. This provides the perfect conditions for learning to surf in. We offer surf lessons to all (from 8 years and above), everyone is welcome, regardless of your surfing ability!

Surf Session Packs

Our surf lessons are sold in sessions. 1 session comprises of the following aspects:
- 2 hours of surf instruction (maximum 8 people per instructor)
- Wetsuit for the session
- Surfboard for the session
We only allow guests to take lessons if they are using a wetsuit and have a suitable surfboard. If you would like to use your own wetsuit and surfboard the cost of the session is reduced. The price per session drops by 25dh if you bring your own wetsuit and another 25dh if you bring your own surfboard.
The morning surf session starts at 10am at the surf school and lasts until 12pm.
The afternoon surf session starts at 2pm at the surf school and lasts until 4pm.
If you arrive after the session starts we reserve the right to put you onto the next available session depending on availability. We have strict limits on instructor/student ratios. This may not be on the same day as the lesson that you were late for.
If it is your first surf session with the Surf Berbere Devil’s Rock Surf School you will need to arrive at the surf club half an hour in advance of the first surf session. This is to ensure that we have all the surfing equipment organized for you and we have completed your paperwork. This also allows us to work out your program for lessons for the upcoming week.
If you are making a booking for a large group please get in touch with us directly as we may be able to give you a group discount and organize transportation for your group.
GETTING TO THE DEVIL’S ROCK SURF SCHOOL
The surf school is about 1km north of Aourir. If you are heading North from Agadir on the main coastal road, you will pass through banana village. You cross over the river/oued and the road starts veering to the left up the hill (Tamraght village is up on the hill to your right), once you have driven up the hill you are able to see the sea. The Surf Berbere Devil’s Rock Surf School is located right on the beach about 500 meters from the main road. Just take the left turn before you hit the Atlantic campsite.
If you are coming from Taghazout, all you need to do is follow the main coastal road South towards Agadir. Just as you pass the Atlantic campsite there is a right hand turn, follow the road past the rocky football pitch and you will arrive at Devil’s Rock.
The surf school is inside the Imouran Surf Association building (blue wavy roofed building). You will see the Surf Berbere flags hanging up.
N.B. Please bring your own swimwear, towel & lunch money (if you are part of a group please inquire about packed lunches). All equipment is included.
